On refresh I just want to scroll to the category that was selected.

It works fine in IE8, but in Firefox/Chrome it first scrolls fine to the category, but then it scrolls back to the top.

Any suggestions? Thanks.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01911237687969395013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8640596986273216089.post-10969257669620735482009-05-19T22:07:00.199-03:002009-05-19T22:07:00.199-03:00Hi

Events DO bubble when you use trigger(), not if you use triggerHandler() or call event.stopPropagation().Ariel Fleslerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17700414222186772120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8640596986273216089.post-4016398616450617842009-05-16T10:33:00.000-03:002009-05-16T10:33:00.000-03:00Little excerpt first:

For example if you trigger an event on a paragraph then it will trigger on that element first, then on the parent element, and its parent, and so on up to the document. The event object will have a .target property equal to the original triggered element. You can prevent the bubbling by calling stopPropagation() or by returning false from your callback." http://docs.jquery.com/Events/trigger#eventdata

If I understand correctly this means that manually triggered event should bubble up to it's parent. Right? But it doesn't :( Is your plugin meant to correct this problem?Jagga Jaggahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09219858231025803681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8640596986273216089.post-35642485203589503252008-03-12T10:34:00.000-02:002008-03-12T10:34:00.000-02:00Yeap, until jQuery implements event bubbling for f...Yeap, until jQuery implements event bubbling for fake events. If you use native event trigger, firefox (and probably all w3 compatible browsers) will actually bubble the event for you, because of IE, this technique can't be standarized.
Check the links I added above, they explain this.Ariel Fleslerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17700414222186772120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8640596986273216089.post-88291414217922652312008-03-12T08:21:00.000-02:002008-03-12T08:21:00.000-02:00so far only possibility to unit-test intercept/lis...so far only possibility to unit-test intercept/listen code, by simulating a 'real' clickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
